My Yoga journey so far...

I was 13 years old when I went to my first ever Yoga class. Around the corner from where I lived, they held a weekly kids Yoga class and I instantly fell in love with it. The feeling of a Sun Salutation felt like nothing I had ever experienced before and each pose I learnt expanded my mind and my perception on movement. Growing up, I found the philosophy of yoga extremely intriguing and I was interested in all things spiritual such as collecting crystals, using oracle cards, meditating and just generally wanting to know more about the deeper meaning of life. Throughout my teenage years the love of this practice stayed with me but the regularity of it didn't and, unfortunately, I stopped practicing Yoga to focus on studying musical theatre. But... as I found out, Yoga always finds its way back to you at times where you need it the most. Years later, while studying in a mentally challenging environment, I started practising again at home and, just like that, that magical feeling came back. This path then lead to me to find a local yoga class and as soon as that class started, I felt like I was home. Everything in my bones was telling me Yoga would be with me for the rest of my life.

For the next few years, I regularly attended classes and worked on my practice at home but something more was calling me. I told every person I knew about Yoga and the way it made me feel and I knew, in my heart, that it was my purpose to share this feeling with as many people as I could. That is where my teaching journey began.

I studied my 100 and 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training and, a year later, qualified as a Yoga Alliance International Yoga Instructor. It was truly was the best decision I had ever made.

I am now a Vinyasa Yoga Teacher based in Harrogate and I provide studio classes, private sessions, coorporate classes and more. I also teach other styles of Yoga such as Hatha and Yin. Alongside teaching, I have also studied in Pre/Post Natal Yoga and I am fully qualified in this area too.

Yoga has played a huge part in my life, helping me through some of the toughest times and ultimately making me a stronger and more resilient person inside and out. I truly believe that Yoga can transform your life too and no matter what the reason is for you finding this practice, I am honoured to guide you through your journey.
